THE CAKES
These days The Cakes are an occasional activity that occur when we all happen to be in the same place at the same time with instruments.
The last time this happened we recorded three (or was that four?) tracks at Prism Studios in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England. The resulting recording was Mothers Against Bacon, which you can download for free via the links below, or listen to via the slightly more traditional medium of CD. This method also requires a traditional payment. At the discretion of the band, a barter may be acceptable.
There have been numerous stories of how The Cakes came to be a band, but the most likely is that they met in Kendal, Eccles, the Black Forest, Pineapple Upside-Down or Leamington Spa at a book signing of "Bluegrass: An Alternative History of Caravans, Campfires and Unnessecarily Long Book Titles".
