Renderosity Writer of the Month (April 2004): Runner-up
Final selection stage for the United Press Top 100 poets of 2004
Poetry on display at The Victoria Hall, Hanley (August 2004)
Performed at a one-off "Poetry & Pints" Evening at Churrasco's Wine Bar, Hanley (August 2004)

I spend more time with photography these days and as a few things have happened with that I think I'll list them here too.
• It might have been the first photography competition I entered, it was definitely the first on Overclockers.co.uk, but I came joint first with my entry for the 'Abstract' competition in June 2007.
• A few photos I took of the London Eye were included in a photo montage created to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the London Eye. This montage was/is on display in London.
• In August 2007 I won the "Pictorial Photo" competition on redbubble.com for a photo of Barcelona's Magic Fountain.
• I was a finalist in a competition to design artwork representing the music of Maps. In February 2008 my image was on display at Art Vinyl in London.
• What provoked me to create this list was when I was browsing The Times travel photography competition (January - February 2008) and saw a photo of mine linking to 'The 100 finalists'! At first I thought I'd made just the top 100, which I was happy with, but I actually made the last 20!
• In March 2008 I won the Newcastle-under-Lyme category of Urban Vision for a photo of the town's Guild Hall. The judges thought the photo did well to sum up a small market town like Newcastle. The photo was on display at the Burslem School of Art throughout March.

Back to writing again, and in March 2008 I wrote a review of a Delays gig which was printed in The Sentinel newspaper.

• In April 2008 I won the Exodus Travel Photo competition. They chose two pictures I submitted from my trip to Iceland.
• The craziness continues...in June I won another competition which resulted in one of my photos being blown up to display on a billboard, which was shown and mentioned on BBC Midlands Today.
• Probably the most exciting photography-related-thing was in August 2008, gaining Garry McNamara's Picture of the Week in Amateur Photographer. A full page in what I think is the UK's biggest selling photography magazine!
• The Urban Vision photo winner I mentioned above is featured in the book, Living Landscapes.

• ??? missed anything ???
• The Times run a monthly 'smugshots' competition. I sent in a photo I took of myself in Ireland, and won! My prize was a Lonely Planet guide of my choice. I chose the guide to Travel Writing.
• In March 2009 I won in the Urban Vision photography competition again, this time in the Stoke category. The theme was 'Home' and I won with a photo of Stoke Station.
• March 2010 - published in "Write On" - an anthology of writing from North Staffordshire writers.
