Dimpled Cheek

Those honest eyes, that elegant stance
You make ideas inside me dance
That pretty face, deceitful guise
And so began our great demise
I can’t believe you knew

I see another worldly you
That eloquent look that says you knew
Of all the out-of-sync demands
You tipping salt upon my plans
I can’t believe you knew

That stunning smile and dimpled cheek
I besotted on for weeks and weeks
Fae wings on your back they lay
And then that day you flew away
Tomorrow’s a different day, they say.
